1. Service Description

ClientSideIntel.com provides automated browser-layer security scanning tools that analyze publicly accessible web pages for third-party scripts, security header configurations, TLS status, and client-side exposure indicators relevant to PCI DSS 4.0. We offer a free single-domain scan and a paid Deep Scan report service.

ClientSideIntel is operated by Jason Haring, doing business as ClientSideIntel, based in Idaho, United States.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing clientsideintel.com, submitting a domain for scanning, or purchasing a Deep Scan report, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use this service.

3. Permitted Use

You may use ClientSideIntel to scan:

• Domains you own or operate
• Domains for which you have explicit written authorization from the domain owner to perform security scanning
• Publicly accessible pages as part of your own legitimate security research or compliance review

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to scan any domain you submit.

4. Prohibited Use

You may not use ClientSideIntel to:

• Scan domains you do not own or have no authorization to scan
• Conduct unauthorized security testing, penetration testing, or reconnaissance against third-party systems
• Circumvent rate limiting or abuse protections through automated requests, proxies, or scripting
• Use scan results to facilitate attacks, exploitation, or harm against any website or organization
• Resell, redistribute, or represent our scan results as your own proprietary intelligence without written permission
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable law, including the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), the UK Computer Misuse Act, or equivalent legislation in your jurisdiction

Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of access and, where appropriate, referral to law enforcement.

5. Not a Compliance Certification

ClientSideIntel is not a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), PCI SSC Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV), auditor, or certification provider. Our scan results are informational tools designed to identify publicly observable client-side security indicators and PCI DSS 4.0 readiness signals.

ClientSideIntel scan results do not constitute a PCI DSS compliance certification, audit, or attestation. They do not satisfy formal QSA assessment requirements, acquiring bank obligations, or card brand compliance programs. Final compliance determinations must be reviewed with your qualified security assessor, compliance team, or payment processor.

You acknowledge that reliance on our scan results as a substitute for formal compliance assessment is inappropriate and done entirely at your own risk.

6. Scan Accuracy and Limitations

Our scanning tools analyze publicly accessible pages as a browser would see them. Scan results reflect the state of a domain at the time of scanning and may not reflect:

• Pages behind authentication or login walls
• Server-side configurations not visible in the browser
• Dynamically loaded content that requires user interaction to trigger
• Changes made to the domain after the scan was performed

A clean result from our scanner does not guarantee that a domain is free from all security vulnerabilities or fully compliant with PCI DSS 4.0. We report what our tools can detect from publicly observable signals only.

7. Payment and Refunds

Deep Scan reports are priced at $79 per report at time of purchase. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or payment credentials on our servers.

Due to the immediate delivery of digital security reports, all sales are final. If you did not receive your report within 24 hours of payment, or if your report contains a material error attributable to our scanning system, contact us at hello@clientsideintel.com and we will make it right.

8. Intellectual Property

All scan report content, formatting, findings methodology, scoring frameworks, and written analysis delivered by ClientSideIntel are the intellectual property of ClientSideIntel.com. You may use your report for internal security review, compliance documentation, and communication with your own QSA or compliance team. You may not resell, republish, or represent our reports as your own work.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

ClientSideIntel is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that our service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scan results will be complete or accurate in all cases.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ClientSideIntel and Jason Haring shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on our service, including but not limited to loss of business, loss of revenue, data breaches, compliance failures, or regulatory fines — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of ClientSideIntel shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ClientSideIntel, Jason Haring, and any affiliates from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the service in violation of these Terms; (b) your scanning of domains without proper authorization; (c) your reliance on scan results for compliance purposes without appropriate QSA review.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Idaho.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted to this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of ClientSideIntel after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we will notify Deep Scan customers by email.
