ClientSideIntel scans only publicly accessible web pages. We do not access private systems, stored credentials, payment data, or personal information belonging to website visitors. This policy explains what data we do collect and how we handle it.
1. Who We Are
ClientSideIntel.com is a web security scanning service operated by Jason Haring, doing business as ClientSideIntel, based in Idaho, United States. We provide PCI DSS 4.0 client-side security scanning tools for website owners, merchants, agencies, and compliance professionals.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Free Scan — Domain Submissions
When you submit a domain for a free scan, we collect:
- The domain name you submitted
- Your IP address (for rate limiting — one scan per IP per 60 seconds)
- The scan timestamp
- The scan results generated for that domain
We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal identifying information when you run a free scan. The domain you submit is a publicly accessible web address — we scan only what any internet user could see in their own browser.
2.2 Deep Scan — Paid Report Orders
When you order a Deep Scan report ($79), we collect:
- Your email address (to deliver your PDF report)
- The domain name you submitted for scanning
- Payment transaction data processed entirely by Stripe — we do not store credit card numbers, CVV codes, or full payment details on our servers
- Scan results generated for your domain
2.3 Email Communications
By purchasing a Deep Scan report, you agree to receive your report by email and to be added to the ClientSideIntel email list for security updates, product announcements, and relevant offers. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
2.4 Automatically Collected Data
Like most web services, our servers automatically log:
- IP addresses of visitors
- Browser type and version
- Pages visited and time of visit
- Referring URL
This data is used for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and service improvement. It is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Perform the security scan you requested and return results
- Deliver your PDF report by email (Deep Scan customers)
- Send relevant security updates and service communications (with your consent)
- Prevent abuse, rate-limit scan requests, and protect our infrastructure
- Improve the accuracy and coverage of our scanning engine
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Data Retention
Free scan data (domain, IP, timestamp, results) is retained for 90 days and then permanently deleted from our systems.
Deep Scan customer data (email, domain, report) is retained for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide ongoing service. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hello@clientsideintel.com.
Server access logs are retained for up to 30 days for security purposes.
5. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with advertising networks or data brokers. We work with the following service providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate data protection agreements:
- Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment transaction data: stripe.com/privacy
- LiquidWeb — VPS hosting for our scanning infrastructure. Data is processed on servers in the United States.
- Hostinger — Website hosting for clientsideintel.com.
We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
6. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption in transit, server-side access controls, and limited data retention periods. No internet transmission is 100% secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@clientsideintel.com.
7. Cookies
ClientSideIntel does not currently use tracking cookies or third-party analytics on this website. If this changes, this policy will be updated and visitors will be notified.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opt-out — Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
- Portability — Request your data in a portable format

9. Children's Privacy
ClientSideIntel is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data through our service, contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of ClientSideIntel after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For material changes, we will notify Deep Scan customers by email.
